George Castle biography

George Castle turned an avocation into a vocation. Growing up in Wrigley Field's cheap seats, paying just $1 for the bleachers while in high school, Castle now presents his passion for baseball in a multi-media form: newspapers, magazines, the internet and the nationally-syndicated radio show "Diamond Gems." Castle's relationships with players is one of the best in the baseball. As a result, he brings a unique inside-out perspective about the summer game.

Doug Glanville biography

Doug Glanville is a true Renaissance man in both sports and business. Playing baseball at a high level -- including a 200-hit season in 1999 as center fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies -- is only part of this New Jersey native's persona. Glanville is an innovative home builder, a hopeful Eighties music pianist and a budding writer who can turn a phrase as well as many professionals. He presents his well-rounded insight on baseball in a weekly column, "Heading Home," at NewYorkTimes.com, as well as the "Diamond Gems" radio show.
